Stefan Zinsmeister is responsible for international cooperation and portfolio management at the Knowledge Management Department of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). Lecturer in German language and literature and consultant in education and development cooperation at universities in Germany and abroad. Max Kade Fellow at Colgate University (USA), Assistant Professor at the University of the Philippines in Manila (DAAD-Lectureship).

Prof. Dr. Juergen Nehmer is a faculty member and Senior Professor in the Computer Science department of the University of Kaiserslautern which he chaired from 1981 – 83. He attracted funding for two collaborative research projects from the German Research Foundation (DFG) and coordinated the foundation of a Max Planck Institute for Software Systems in Kaiserslautern. He was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Government and served for 10 years as a senator and vice president of the DFG. He is currently scientific advisor of the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering and serves as a Technology Ambassador of the City of Kaiserslautern. In 2004 he received the Order of Merit of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate for his outstanding achievements in science.

Prof. Dr. Helmut Neunzert lectured as Full Professor in the department of Mathematics at the University of Kaiserslautern from 1974 until 2004. He was instrumental in establishing the field of Industrial Mathematics, which led to the foundation of the Institut für Techno- und Wirtschaftsmathematik (ITWM) in 1995. He served as director of the institute, until it became a member of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in 2001. He steered the department`s focus towards international cooperation, and was a founding member of the European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry (ECMI). Among his numerous awards are the Order of Merit and the Academy Prize of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Fraunhofer Medal, and the Pioneer Prize of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics SIAM, of which he became a fellow in 2009. Prof. Neunzert received honorary doctorates from the Johannes-Kepler-University in Linz and from Chalmers University in Gothenburg. He is currently responsible for international affairs at the Fraunhofer ITWM and has been a Technology Ambassador of the City of Kaiserslautern since 2006.
